What method do you use to make your blades?
All of my blades are crafted by the stock removal method.
Are your blades heat treated?
Heat treating is the soul of a blade. It is the absolutely critical step that, done correctly, allows a steel to perform to its maximum potential. For this reason, I have all of my blades professionally heat treated by Peters Heat Treating to my specifications. The final RC of a blade will depend on the type of steel and the purpose of that blade.
I want a sheath…do your knives come with sheaths?
A fine knife deserves a fine sheath; to me it is simply part of the package. I work with several sheath makers to offer custom made sheaths for my knives unless you specify that you do not want a sheath.
How about kitchen knives…do they come with a sheath or case?
Kitchen cutlery is provided with a padded, zippered case.
What kind of warranty do you offer for your knives?
My warranty policy is simple. If you have a problem with one of my knives due to my workmanship, simply contact me and if I am still making knives, I will do what I can to make it right. If the knife has failed due to misuse or abuse, as determined by me, it will not be covered by warranty. Shrinkage or expansion of natural handle materials due to moisture or humidity is a natural occurrence. I prefer to use stabilized materials whenever possible to minimize the chances on the materials moving but some movement can still occur.
